Setting up an internet merchant account is easy with Worldpay.

To accept credit card and debit card payments on line you need to have an internet merchant account. You cannot use an existing non-internet merchant account. If you intend to offer goods for sale over the internet we strongly recommend that you invest in an internet merchant account. Studies have shown that sites that allow customers to pay instantly on line, are 300% more likely to make a sale. If you don't accept on line payment you will lose those 'impulse buyers' and customers are more likely to go to a competitors site that does provide this service.

How much will a Worldpay internet merchant account cost?
Current charges are: £100.00 plus VAT set-up fee, £160.00 plus VAT per year service fee, a 4.5% transaction fee on all credit card transactions and a £0.50 transaction fee on all debit card transactions. Don't be put off by these costs. They are far outweighed by the benefits of accepting on line payments and, if you sell great products and have a good web site that is properly promoted, you will easily recoup these costs.

No problem. Your Worldpay account usually comes set up to allow you to collect payments in GB pounds, US dollars and Euros. Additional currency options can be purchased in addition to these.

Have you already had an application for an internet merchant account refused by your bank?
