It's probably less than you think.
Advertising in newspapers and magazines is very expensive. Having glossy brochures printed is even more expensive. A web site by comparison is significantly cheaper and, if properly promoted, can be much more effective at reaching your target audience.
We design and build web sites to meet the needs of our customers. Every one of our sites are custom designed for our clients so we cannot tell you exactly how much it will cost
until we have discussed your requirements. However, below is a guide to prices and details of the different payment plans available.
Domain name registration. (What is this?)
Domain name registrations costs £50.00 plus VAT for a '.com' name and £40.00 plus VAT for a '.co.uk' name or name with any other valid suffix. Registration is for two years and the name must be re-registered every two years (for the fee payable at that time) in order to retain use of the domain name.
Web page design. (What is this?)
This is the most variable part of the cost but as a guide, the first page will cost about £95.00 plus VAT. This is for a professional looking page, in the colour scheme of your choice, containing only text, pictures and simple graphics. (e.g. your logo). Each subsequent page (using the first page as the basis for construction will cost £35.00 plus VAT. Form pages (i.e. pages with data entry fields) are usually £75.00 plus VAT. Complex 2D and 3D graphics, animations, 'Flash' banners and 'Flash' introductions are available and will be quoted for individually if required. Web sites using Active Server Pages, Access databases and SQL Server databases are all available and, where chargeable, will be included in our quotations.
Hosting. (What is this?)
We can host
your web site on our secure servers for as little as £75.00 per year plus VAT or £22.00 per quarter plus VAT. Hosting also provides email using your domain name at no extra cost. We currently have no limit on the size of your web site or the bandwidth.
If you don't have a web site but would like to use your
domain name for email only, we can host your email
mailbox for just £25.00 plus VAT per year.
Search Engine Optimisation. (What is this?)
Search engine optimisation can be carried out to boost your sites ranking on the major search engines. This is a complex process and results are not guaranteed. Our fee
is highly variable for this service and depends upon the
amount of work involved. However, you will get your
money back, in full, if we fail to succeed. What constitutes success will be agreed in advance and we have ways to check the likelihood of us achieving the targets.
On line credit card merchant accounts. (What is this?)
Where required we can set up an on line credit card merchant account for you very quickly. These accounts are obtained through our partnership with Worldpay (a
Royal Bank of Scotland company). All credit card
transactions are processed on Worldpay's own secure servers using Secure Socket Layers with 128 bit encryption. In normal language this means that your customers can use their credit card on line, fully assured of their security. They are more at risk handing their card over to a waiter in a restaurant. Our terms and methods of payment.
We accept cheques (in sterling drawn on a UK bank), Visa, Mastercard and Switch.
We usually ask for a 30%-50% deposit before any work commences with the balance payable when you have reviewed and approved your site. No web site will be loaded to your registered domain name until the full balance has been paid except by prior agreement. It may therefore be possible to agree payment terms to spread the cost of your site and we may also offer a web-site rental agreement, where you pay a fixed monthly fee to cover both design and hosting of your site, for a minimum fixed term.
