What you should include on your web site.
Many people find the prospect of deciding what to include in their web-site a little daunting. Yet often the material you want to include already exists in advertisements, leaflets, brochures, catalogues and even in computer files. In fact, you should consider your web site to be no different to an advertisement, leaflet, brochure or catalogue that you would use to sell your goods and services, except that it can cost significantly less to produce, it can reach a much wider audience and can be cheaply and easily updated.
Here at TCS we refer to web-sites as eLeaflets, eBrochures and eShops. Which you choose for your business will depend on the nature of your business. Where you normally advertise by small advertisements in magazines or by leafleting, an inexpensive eLeaflet may be perfect for your site. Where you offer a small range of goods or services which cannot be purchased on line (For example, bespoke furniture manufacture, kitchen design and installation, etc.) an eBrochure would probably be more suitable. Where you sell a small or large range of goods that can be purchased on-line (electrical appliances, clothing, books, etc..) an eShop would be the best solution. You can read more about each of these web site types by clicking the appropriate link on the left.
